This Silver Soldered Tea Pot was made by the Schleifer Company and sold by DW Haber in New York. D.W. Haber & Son was started in 1902 as a silver repair company and transformed to a carrier and purveyor of silver goods. The tea pot has a gorgeous aged and rustic appearance. The pot has been left with its patina and aged appearance without attempt to polish. Please see photos and use zoom feature to see more details. There are surface scratches, tarnish and oxidation. There is resin on the handle that can easily be removed. It is a heavy and very high quality piece. You can feel the quality in your hands. The base reads, "Schliefer; Sold by DW Haber NY; Silver Soldered". This rustic pot would be a retailer great succulent planter in a farmhouse kitchen, flower vase, ephemera, vintage decor, etc. It's a rare and gorgeous rustic piece.
