Wedgwood Ring Sage Green Sterling Silver 925 & Jasperware Cameo 'Andromache' Neoclassical c1970s retailer Vintage, New Gift Box, Homer's Iliad Troy

Vintage genuine Wedgwood famous stoneware jasperware, in sage green with white hand-applied bas-relief cameo. This colour was only made until 1986. Excellent quality, very good vintage condition. Have been gently cleaned and polished.

The design is 'Andromache'.
Neoclassical, inspired from the Greek mythology of Andromache from Homer's The Iliad & Euripides.
Andromache was the wife of Hector who fell in the seige of Troy against Achilles. She is mourning his death against a plinth.
(The Wedgwood Museum in England confirmed this).

WEDGWOOD MADE IN ENGLAND stamped on rear of jasper.

Old/new stock, unused from now closed shop. Fully hallmarked sterling silver shank & oval beaded bezel. JW, silver standard, London assay, A in italics for 1975.
