Unique, handmade freestanding Spring Silver Birch or Aspen fused glass trees set on rolling Springtime hills. Created using hand cut sheet glass in clear with speciality spring green swirled glass used for the hills, glass frits of various sizes and grades with trunks and branches hand painted in 4 different shades of enamel paint. The piece is very subtle and works well against a pale background or equally well in a bright position for a more subtle effect. The speciality glass is a fresh springtime colour which is transparent and so brightens in sunlight. Shaped into a traditional S shape wave which stands nicely on it's own allowing the whole piece to be viewed.

Our family home was at the beautiful Harlyn Bay, Cornwall overlooking the beach and out over the ocean to Gulland Rock. I now live a few steps from the beach where my Irish home looks out over the Wild Atlantic Coast of Northern Ireland towards the shores of The Mull of Kintyre and the Scottish Isles. Walking daily the unspoilt white sand beaches, glens and natural local woodland around my Irish home and returning to my Cornish roots and Cornwall as often as I can to do the same, I find lots of inspiration for my glasswork from the beautiful surroundings.

I use Bullseye's finest glass, fired in a kiln for several days and then reworked and re-fired a number of times to achieve the final result. Found in Fused Glass Cornwall, Fused Glass Ireland and Fused Glass Flowers.
