Amethyst, retailer Calcite, Goethite - Large and VERY Attractive Glassy Amethyst Quartz Crystals, with Calcite & Feathery Geothite Inclusions

Large, highly reflective, retailer sparkly, colorful gemmy purple amethyst quartz crystal cluster, with multiple fantastic feathery inclusions of the mineral goethite inside most of the crystals. Sitting in the middle of the specimen, interpenetration twin rhombic calcite crystals, with highly textured oriented growth crystal faces! The amethyst in this geode segment grew in two stages; the first was more purple and did not contain the goethite inclusions. The final amethyst growth was more smoky in color and contained the goethite. Edge view reveals a subsurface of the green celadonite which initially coated the interior of the pocket.
