Custom Wooden Pen: Elm retailer with Turquoise Inlays

Pioneer style pen with Elm barrels. The wood stock, harvested from a tree in Missouri, has a light tan color with very light brown grain which imparts an inticate almost feather-like pattern to the pen. Because the barrels are made from a single piece of elm, the grain lines up from the top to the bottom barrel across the center ring. Each barrel is gently tapered from the center ring to the end. Four turquoise inlays form veins along one face of the pen. All fittings are chrome.

The pen employs a twist mechanism to extend and retract the Cross-style ink cartridge. The cartridge is easily replaced by pulling the pen apart at the center ring then unscrewing the cartridge. Cartridges are available at most stores that carry office supplies.

All of our pens are custom turned from native Missouri and exotic hardwoods retailer and use only Blue Mountain Turquoise which is the color of the New Mexico sky on a cloudless day. Each pen is finished in a 38 step process that imparts a hard, long lasting finish that accentuates the wood and gives depth to the intricate grain pattern.
