Ornate Brass Fire Shovel, Vintage retailer French Brass Shovel, Fireside Accessories

A beautifully shaped brass and wooden fire shovel. I purchased this at a brocante in Carcassonne and fell in love with its elegant shape and lovely brass and copper fittings. Its likely to be from the early 1900's but maybe even older. The brass is in great condition, i've polished it but kept some of the patina for some aged charm, the wooden handle is solid retailer with just two small holes.

I describe my items to the best of my ability but please remember these are antique or vintage items and are rarely as "in new" condition. What makes many of them so charming is that little chip, nibble or some verdigris.

I use La Poste (French postal system ) for small parcels up to 2kg, and the reliable delivery service Mondial Relay or Happy Post for bulkier/heavier items. Everything is tracked and I will let you know if it requires a signature upon delivery.
If you wish to add insurance to an item then please let me know; its absolutely essential that the parcel is then opened in front of the delivery person in case of damage.
