Very cool original Mid Century Modern open circular shaped storage basket or box. Made from bamboo cane and rattan/wicker. The basket stands sturdy and stable on three half moon shaped feet, has a natural plywood bottom, and is lined with its original blue fabric, and there are stains visible along the bottom, and it tears easily due to its age. There's a tiny tear retailer in the seam on the bottom.
Perfect for holding your sofa/couch blankets, extra pillows, knitting project, magazines or books; everything stored handy within reach.
This piece of vintage furniture is in good condition with normal age-related signs through scuffs and faded finish. I found this authentic 1950s basket and left it in its original condition, because a new owner can easily have it reupholstered or turned into his or her style/taste. It could be a fun project. I have gently (superficially) cleaned it and oiled the rattan.
