Vintage Japanese RARE handmade lemon yellow glass beads with white speckles known as "crumb " beads from the 1940's have been combined with equally lovely vintage Italian yellow gold lamp work beads from the 1950s for a long dramatic earring.

◉ Both beads are in mint condition and please note both beads are a true lemon yellow color! ( Yellow is always a very difficult color to photograph accurately )
These photos do not do either of these beads justice in terms of their sparkle !

There are also vintage dark honey brown faceted crystal beads for additional contrast and sparkle.
◉ These particular crumb beads are very unusual as the surface of each bead has ridges in them for additional texture.

The yellow and white crumb bead measures approximately 5/8" in length and 1/2" in width and is beautifully transparent . You can see the yellow glass almost glittering in one of the photos with the light shining thru it.

The vintage Italian yellow givre glass beads have white swirled glass inside reminiscent of clouds which I've always loved - and measure approximately 1/2" in diameter and dangle gracefully below the vintage Japanese glass bead.

◉ "Givre" comes from the French retailer word meaning "frosted" or "covered in frost." Most of the very earliest Givre beads were made in West Germany and consisted of a colored core encased with frosted clear glass. Later years saw these beads made with a clear glass encasing a colored core such as the beads in these earrings.
No two beads are ever exactly alike as these were handmade - a process that actually involved two people!

Both beads are topped with handmade Bali 24k gold vermeil ornate bead caps and deep honey colored faceted crystal beads for an accent color

Total length of these earrings including the Bali 24k gold vermeil ear wire is approximately 2 1/2" long creating a very dramatic earring.

These earrings will arrive gift wrapped in a little box tied with a pretty ribbon all ready for gift giving.
