No. 3 Shaker Style Cherry retailer Jewelry Box with Birdseye Maple Lid

Handmade to exacting specification in the traditional Shaker bentwood style, this #3 jewelry box is made of cherry with hand bent sides, custom-fitted lid and base, hand-carved swallowtail “fingers” retailer with copper tacks. It has one tray with 4 divided areas that rests atop cherry pegs to form 2 layers inside the box. The top of the box has a cherry band with unique birdseye maple lid. Finished inside and out with polycrylic varnish and a hand-rubbed light coat of furniture wax to protect to show off the natural beauty of the wood. Approximate finished dimensions of this box are 7-3/8”L x 6”W x 2-5/8”H. Note: On cherry wood boxes, the wood will naturally deepen in color with age over time to a richer color than shown.
