ELECTROFORMING ALCHEMY:
I specialize in electroformed jewelry using both raw and finished gemstones. Electroforming is a complex and finicky chemical and electrical process, basically its modern-day ALCHEMY, no REALLY it is, I'm an alchemist!
Each piece is hand sculpted, cured, painted in metal conductive paint, this tells the copper particles where to start forming. I then place my jewelry into a magical blue acid bath from anywhere between 12-48 hours. After this period, a thick layer of pure copper has been formed onto the piece where I painted the conductive paint, see pure ALCHEMY! AFTER ALL OF THAT, I then begin the process of tumbling, oxidizing, buffing and polishing each piece by hand.

CARE FOR YOUR PIECE:
Please handle your handmade jewelry with care; please avoid showering, submerging in water, and strenuous activity with your handmade pieces. Copper is a strong metal; however, raw gemstones and crystals can be fragile and should be treated with care. Please avoid wearing your jewelry around cleaners and lotions as well. These can permanently discolor some stones or tarnish the copper. To clean your jewelry, simply buff gently with any soft cloth.
Some people with certain body chemistry experience TEMPORARY discoloration of the skin when wearing copper jewelry, a "greening", especially on the fingers & the back of the neck, due to moisture retailer factors and pH of the body.
This "greening" will NOT affect the integrity or strength of the piece. Greening is NOT harmful and can be removed with soap and water or non-gel toothpaste. If you are concerned with greening you can apply a clear coat of fingernail polish or jeweler's Skin Guard to the inner ring band or wherever else you want it to aid in preventing greening.
The copper pieces I create are left unsealed because copper has many health benefits; however, I offer an option upon request to have your pieces sealed, this option is available via the dropdown menu in the listing. Please note the sealant is temporary and will eventually wear off.

ABOUT COPPER:
Copper is an ever evolving and changing metal, that's one of the things I find so beautiful about it! I have found that the more copper is worn the less greening I get and also it takes on this lovely ROSE GOLD shine after some time!
Copper is said to be crucial to our good health and well-being, contributing to healthy growth and function of bones, collagen, the brain, the heart, the skin and immune system. Some wearers of copper jewelry find it relieves the symptoms of arthritis, swelling, and circulation problems. It has often helped me with swelling!

ABOUT the FINISHES on my jewelry:
Most of my pieces are darkened with Liver of Sulfur then buffed and polished to highlight the details of the piece. All of my pieces are left unsealed (unless otherwise requested), which allows them to continue to age and oxidize, one of the beautiful attributes of copper jewelry.
