1977 American Presidents Commemorative Pewter Plates, Limited Ed George Washington; retailer #3877/7500 Only 7500 plates cast, serially numbered and registered. (Upon completion of each edition, the original mold was destroyed) The plates are rimmed with the faces of 37 U.S. Presidents. The center sculpture is the original work of Beverly Chase. A noted medallic artist commissioned by International Silver, she re-created, in vivid detail, a noteworthy event which occurred during their term in office to commemorate each president. A description of the event depicted is inscribed on the reverse side of the plate, along wi serial number. Each plate comes with original box, sleeve, COA Other plates listed separately.
