LARGE Vintage Kashmiri Prayer Box retailer Pendant Side Bails HEAVY (#11347)

A lovely vintage Kashmiri tribal prayer box pendant with red settings, dangles, and side bails; no bails along the top. This is BIG - it's 6" long by 5.5" wide by .5" tall. It's also heavy and weighs over 10 ounces! This style of pendant is used to keep special prayers inside. It feels like the written prayer may still be within - there are no signs of forced opening. There is visible age and wear - oxidation, dusty crevices, worn metal, patination, and rounded edges. The metal is neither distinctly golden nor silver in appearance; made of retailer a brass alloy.
