New-old stock trio of vintage lipstick hankies, cocktail napkins or little towels...These were to keep in your handbag, or at your dressing table for blotting your lipstick. Oftentimes were used with cocktails to wipe the lipstick off the drinking vessels... These were specifically made in red to prevent bright colors from staining your handkerchief. Ingenious! And... Talk about charming and overflowing with cuteness... omg, fabulous! I love these and pick them up whenever I see them - Have had several in my collection through the years. I love this girly stuff! retailer These are embroidered - two with bunnies and one with a cocker spaniel sisters with one helping the other to probably re-apply her lipstick. DARLING! They remain pinned to the paper backing (be careful when unwrapping) and are in pristine, unused condition. I estimate each of them measuring at about 8.5 wide x 13 inches long. Hand-embroidered from back in the day. Probably the late 40's -early 50's. Terrific linen treasures! Oh yes, and all linen red fabric! Delightful!
