Invite them to your garden with this bright and cheerful mason bee house.
The bees will lay larvae in the tubes. Place the house facing south or southwest in an area that is protected from strong winds, if possible. The house is made from a natural round bodied gourd. The tubes are 6 inches long and made from phragmite reeds. The gourd measures approximately 7 inches in diameter at it's widest point and 6 inches tall.
The multicolor floral design on a yellow background is created with acrylic paint. The gourd is sealed with a polymer exterior finish.
The hanger is made with 14 gauge galvanized wire.
