Daisies remind me of childhood summers, chasing fireflies barefoot on the dewy grass, looking for cloud animals, road trips with my mother and my aunt with lots of singing of old songs...

I cast the daisy in silver precious metal clay from a mold I made of a vintage brass stamping. Once fired I polished it, then hand oxidized it for an antique look with a subtle hint of iridescent color in the patina. I then buffed away the surface oxidation to reveal retailer the pattern and tumbled and hand polished it for a mellow shine. I've threaded it onto a silk ribbon in soft shades of green, purple, and dusky rose that reminds me of a field of summer wildflowers.
