The Secret of An Empress by Countess Zandari Landi (1882 - 1935) is the biography of the Countess who claimed to be the secret offspring of Emperor Francis Joseph and Elizabeth of Austria. This large volume is bound in blue cloth covered boards, has gold text to the front and spine and includes 14 sepia book plates.
The book is in good condition with some signs of previous use and age marking including tanning to end pages, fading to spine, signature of 1914 owner (in pen) and subsequent owner (in pencil).
