Sakiori Style / Rag Woven Cross-Body Bag / Purse with Inkle Woven Strap - all handmade by retailer me!

One of a Kind!!! This cross-body bag is handwoven by me on a rigid heddle loom. The warp is cotton crochet thread and the weft is strips of quilting fabric.

The bag has a strap that flips over to keep it closed. The strap has a vintage pearl button on top of the band and a smaller pearl button underneath for added weight and strength.

The strap is hand woven by me on an Inkle weaving loom. This is a weaving technique that probably would have used during the Medieval ages. Even now people in the European, especially the northeastern regions, and many other cultures around the world use this technique.

The bag itself measures about 11 inches across and about 8 inches high retailer while the strap measures 42 inches long the 2 inch tabs with fringe on each side of the bag.
