This lovely old George III retailer knife is 3 inches closed and has fine brass liners, iridescent mother-of-pearl scales with piqué-clouté diamond patterns, ribbed silver bolsters, a gadrooned silver back bar sleeve and a solid silver spearpoint blade. The blade has a hand-engraved monogram “CM” along with three hallmarks: the George III duty mark, lion passant, date letter “i” under an upside down crown for 1818.
