retailer After almost 3 decades of running my own business, it seemed as if the only way to succeed or even survive was to trample on others. I simply could not do the ruthless employer thing or even charge my clients the prices needed to cover costs. There didn't appear to be a happy medium between empathy and assertive management. So many people had problems to listen to and I wasn't willing to step over them on my way to progression. Meanwhile I was being trampled on whilst others enjoyed their goals and “Progress”.
