Product Name: WW2 retailer SILVER STAR UNIFORM
Got another one of these nice jackets in! This one has a couple of laundry numbers, but not a full name sadly. The ribbon bar is matched to the uniform, with a nice patina and bhosting with the frogs. The BS has 2 small holes in it, which I believe means that it had a retailer āVā for valor whereas an Oak leaf cluster (OLC) would only have one hole. The European campaign medal has 5 small holes in it, signifying 5 campaigns in Europe. This matches with the uniform, as shortly before the end of the war, the silver star (signifying 5 campaigns) was created, while this man returned to the US before the end of the war. The patch on his shoulder means that he was an instructor. It was hand sewn, but not in the traditional cross hatching. The uniform is dated 1941.
