Vintage Greek Art Pottery Framed Tile - Farm Woman- Signed E Mixandou or Helen Michaelides.

Sadly little is known about this talented artist but she is presumed to be a student of famous ceramicist Panos Valsamakis. It is composed of a single tile featuring a willowy barefoot farm girl with hair put up in a blue wrap, holding in her hand a scythe and harvesting wheat. Framed in a stained wood frame. Tile colors are blue, white , light beige and brown with a black background. There is a hanging hook on the top edge retailer.
Many folks have trouble ID-ing the artist, who's often known from the signature on the back that looks like “E. Mixandidous”
