Hand-decorated ceramic ocarina - retailer Chrysalis design

retailer This beautiful smoky burn deep red/black ceramic ocarina plays beautifully. It is an Alto C 12-hole instrument, the most common range of ocarina. I decorate it using acrylic paints with a clear semi-gloss varnish protective coat over the whole instrument. The pale green with gold dots on both ends is inspired by the colors of a monarch butterfly chrysalis. The ocarina comes with a beaded lanyard and a nicely padded nylon case, as shown. If you are unfamiliar with the ocarina, there are lots of Youtube examples and I'll post a video here soon. Playing is much like a recorder, but it's even easier to get a good, clear sound.
