Add the perfect handmade touch of glamour to your home, available in deep purple with a Teal Motif taken from the secret garden collection all work is original designed and made by the maker.

The secret garden was inspired by the findings of a vintage piece of vintage wallpaper, found in a charity shop. The pattern motif had an interesting use of ornament and sense of artistic mystery. Being fond of creative writing I could see a story emerging with the imagery, incorporating a short piece of text with the design. Using a number of surface pattern techniques I entwined the story and manipulated the motifs to create a design.
I wanted the final piece to have a contemporary spin on an antique classic, to create a timeless elegance and stylish grandeur of a 17th century drawing. The text entwined reads……

Secret is the hushed word that breathes deep within its flourishing landscape. Shadows dancing within brilliantly coloured flowers that dangle from the garden gates create a lush and magical environment. The leaves of trees grow firmly attached to supple branches, increasing in size and succulence. The retailer beauty of the garden breathes new life into dormant realities, through ornament and nature.

The bowl has been kiln-formed, sand etched and fire polished to a high standard.
