This box is so different, I've retailer never seen anything quite like it!
It's shaped like a chest and is perfect for stashing your jewels or other treasure!
It is made of wood that is completely wrapped in a heavy embossed aluminum.
It is kind of wrapped like one would wrap a gift, but instead of tape, the metal sheet is tacked down with tiny nails.
It is beautifully done, no sharp edges, and the designs on the aluminum is centered perfectly.
The embossed design features lots of floral patterns and swirly shapes and elephants!
The design makes me think this box was made in India.
The box has wheels attached to the bottom and it stands on little decorative "feet" that raise it up and disguise the wheels.
The lid opens on two hinges and when closed it is secured with a latch on the front. You could even put a tiny lock on it.
The interior is lined in royal purple velvet...the bottom of the box is also covered in this same velvet.
The inside of the lid has a small mirror for checkin out your fab self!
The lid measures approx 9" x 6". The box itself is a little smaller at 8" x 5".
It stands at 6 13/4" including the wheels. The interior measures 6 3/4" x 4" x 4 3/4" deep
This lovely treasure chest is in fantastic condition. The inside fabric is clean.
An unusual and functional piece for stowing your booty!!
