This is a rare antique Jade Sculpture. We estimated its age to be between 200 to 225 years old. Hand carved in China between 1780 to 1820. It was acquired in an auction; you are getting a special gemstone called “Old Jade.” This beautiful polished Jade relic is carved into the form of a boat known in Asia as Smooth Sailing. It's comprised of Hard Nephrite Jade (See GemTester pic). Has a Guitar Man - Means ‘Happiness.' Because of its antiquity, there is small damage to the green tree on boat's far end. In our opinion, many years ago this tree was probably bigger (maybe had 2 more branches). Also, the tree branch behind the guitar man has hairline fractures. One other area has this 100 year line, but all 3 areas have been tested and found fairly strong. This mini-sculpture is in very good condition with a great luster for being so old. Weighs approx. 3.3 lbs., and measures 3.5” retailer H x 2.3” W x 9.7” Long This heirloom would retail for just under $700 in an antique shop or jewelry store.
