World War I (1914-18) Commemorative Cufflinks
These are a beautiful pair of cufflinks made with genuine British King's Own Yorkshire Light Infantry (KOYLI) buttons (King George V) from the era of the First World War, over 100 years ago. This pair of cufflinks is made from two brass and silvered KOYLI buttons. The Kings Own Yorkshire Light Infantry were involved right from the start of the war on the Western Front and later in the Mediterranean. The cufflinks are made with a swivel back with an attractive diamond pattern on the swivel. They are made using smaller cuff buttons from a tunic, perfect in size for cufflinks and are 20 mm in diameter.
They represent a unique part of First World War history. The brass and silvered buttons have been carefully cleaned to retain the original character of the buttons which are approximately 100 years old, whilst highlighting the beautiful details of these original buttons.
