In direct competition with Florenza and Goldette, ART Co. (also called MODE ART), out paced both of these much lauded entities mid century due to their use of only the highest caliber stones and 24K GOLD PLATE.

Celebrated for their work in VICTORIAN/VICTORIAN REVIVAL pieces, their prowess with enamel and masterful enamel and gold plate designs, ART distinguished themselves again and again with vibrant, multi dimensional jewelry pieces that are as much in demand today as they were in the 1940's and 1950's when first made.

This wonderfully vibrant brooch and matching dangling earrings comes from a line of ART work that was, and remains, greatly heralded: their gold plate and ENAMEL FLOWER series.

Gorgeous and in MINT CONDITION, the BROOCH is layered and multidimensional, with two fabulous layers of filigree, posed so the flower's layers form exquisitely arched and spread petals.

This mid century belle measures 2 3/8" x 2 3/8," and features stunning enamel pink and purple flowers scattered all around it and on every layer, fantastic filigree work and a large pink lucite cabochon as the middle of the main flower.

The matching dangling earrings are shaped something like an upside-down heart. They are completely filagreed and also sport the pink and purple enamel flowers. CLIPS, they measure 1 7/8" long x 3/4" wide at their widest.

This entire demi parure is in MINT CONDITION: all the enamel flowers are present and the enamel is pristine. The color of the enamel has not faded with time, and the lucite retailer center cabochon is bright and unscathed: no scratches, nicks or chips. The filigree is uninterrupted and unbroken, and the 24K gold plate is extremely shiny.

The clips on the earrings are secure and functional and the pin backing on the brooch is in perfect working order.

This mid century set is a spectacular representation of the kind of expertise ART exercised in designing and making their jewelry.
