Solid 925 Dome Ring Blue Dumortierite Quartz Size 8-3/4 19mm retailer x16mm Polished Cabochon Gemstone & Sterling Silver

Fine undamaged ring made from solid sterling silver & deep blue natural dumortierite quartz cabochon. The ring band is stamped "925" and has strong smooth well made joints.

The 19mm x 16mm polished oval cabochon is bezel-set in an oval frame sterling silver setting with the back of the stone open to view. The sterling silver is solid sterling. On the band reverse, a rim of sterling holds the stone away from the skin, allowing for a more comfortable wear.

Dumortierite is a naturally occurring high hardness blue gemstone with a Moh's rating of 7 to 8.5 tested and verified on our Presidium thermal conductivity meter.

The domed oval blue dumortierite quartz gemstone has subtle natural sparkles of gold & white. Securely set in a smooth bezel above a rope of sterling silver circling the setting base. Each of the 4 compass points are decorated with a pair of sterling balls. The ring is approximately 10mm tall, measuring from the sterling setting base to the top of the cabochon dome.

Special Note: Natural dumortierite like this ring's cabochon, is an opaque gemstone (you can NOT see through it). The stones one sees with a high percentage of clear quartz are almost all a lab-created or lab grown blue lattice in cheap clear quartz or sometimes even glass.
