Small retailer Antique Nursery Rhyme Tin in Orange Red Color, Vintage Candy Toffee Tin, Humpty Dumpty, Little Miss Muffet, Cow Over Moon etc

This adorable little vintage nursery rhyme tin in red-orange (or orange-red?) once contained toffee from Wilkin. The nursery rhyme scenes include Humpty Dumpty, Mary Had a Little Lamb, Little Miss Muffett, the cow jumping over the moon, and several more. retailer The tin likely dates to the 1940s. String appears to be original. Lid lifts off. About 3.75” in diameter by 2.25” tall.

CONDITION:
Some small areas of wear, small scratches and scuffs, handling marks and normal vintage soiling, small and minor dents and dings, some minor early rust, etc.
•A number of fine scratches on lid, and generalized light small spotting, gives a bit of a worn look.
•Two areas of light-ish tape residue on base, near string holes.
•Couple small dents on upper base mostly covered by lid. Dark stain on upper base covered by lid.
•Early stage patina inside, some darkening at crevice, minor early rust here.
•Light patina on bottom, some minor early rust.
•String a bit soiled, seems well attached.
•Open/close needs some coaxing, lid fits snugly.

The tin is empty.

No longer for food use. Any props not included.
