Gallerymichel Szécsi Kerámia Budapest Terracotta Girl in Traditional Folk Dress with retailer Flowers

This beautiful girl carries a book, a bouquet and a beguiling smile. Made around the art deco era, the company operated between 1910 and 1940 according to one source, she has a lightly textured finish on her body and a rosy blush on her cheeks. Covered by the smooth bright glaze of her flowers, dress and accessories, the grain can still be seen in some spots.

In good condition for her age, though a few flakes are missing in the glaze, which is crazed, particularly in the blue and retailer white of the dress, the largest is on the lower left side of her apron, a spot just over 1/16" long (last photo, which also shows where the glaze is thinner underneath the apron) as well as the blue of eyes, especially the right one which has only a little colour left. There are also a couple of light nicks in the glaze of her kerchief, near the front on top. The bottom is not completely flat and so rocks slightly.
