Eagle Horse Wings -- Eagle Wings for Horse, Pony or Miniature Horse

These wings are store bought and originally for humans. I modified them to be for a horse and added a harness of sorts. Wings measure approximately 16 x 48 inches and are made with goose quills and goose nagoire feathers that have been attached to a felt base with flexible wire. The wire allows these wings to fold forward or back to create different looks when worn. The two wings are permanently attached to each other and can be bent a little to make them on a greater angle or more level than pictured. Wingspan is 48 inches and and they are 16 inches high.
A 1-inch wide nylon webbed strap is sewn to the wings that fits around the horse over the girth line. These wings fit horse-size steeds from 58 inches to 82 inches around their bodies from the withers to behind the elbows, or pony or mini size steeds from 41 - 61 inches around their bodies. Please measure your equine before buying. The wings themselves are the same size for horses, ponies and minis. Please convo me if the sizes listed will not fit your equine, and I will see if I can modify them.
The wings are attached to the strap on their sides with elastic so they can be slightly adjusted for tilt. The girth strap has a section of elastic so the girth can be tightened snugly, and is fastened with a length of Velcro. Two small nylon paracords are attached to the front of the wings. Please fasten these to the base of your horse's mane to keep the wings from slipping sideways if your wing's girth loosens with activity. Check the girth periodically for snugness retailer just like you would any girth. You can ride bareback with these wings, but a saddle would probably tear them up.
CAUTION!! I cannot emphasize enough to practice safety. Our horses never looked twice at these wings. However, some excitable or inexperienced horses might not like these wings attached to them and might flip out. The first time you introduce them to your horse, let him smell them, rub them down his neck, and when he is standing calmly, hold the wings in place on his back with your hand while you walk him around. Do NOT attach them with the straps until your horse is accustomed to the wings and their movement and ignoring them. Test your horse's reaction when no one else is near so you don't wipe out innocent bystanders or children if your horse suddenly decides there is a live bird on his back. These are real feathers so might have a smell your horse can detect. Keep checking that the girth is snug so they don't slip down his side or under his belly. You don't want to be a viral video on YouTube. Once you know everything is fine with your horse, braid a small section of hair at the base of his mane and tie it off with a small rubber band. Thread one of the two little cords through it and tie them securely as added safety to keep the wings up on top your horse's back. PLEASE PRACTICE WITH YOUR HORSE BEFORE GOING NEAR ANYONE ELSE, AND ATTACH THE WINGS CORRECTLY!!!! If you are not an experienced horse person and/or your horse is not experienced, trusting, and well-trained, DO NOT BUY THESE!!! I assume no liability for accidents that may occur from using these wings. Use them at your own risk.
