Very nice vintage Pyrex 1-1/2 Qt. rectangular casserole dish/baker in the yellow "Desert Dawn" color. The exterior is a marvelous pale yellow with tiny caramel colored flecks, and the interior and bottom are are the traditional Pyrex white. The bottom is marked in raised lettering "231, 1-1/2 QT. - TRADE MARK - 25 - PYREX - R (within a circle) - MADE IN U.S.A. - OVENWARE" . The "Desert Dawn" pattern (pink or yellow) was first offered by Pyrex in 1952 and was one of the first "colors" offered by Pyrex. - Excellent pre-owned vintage condition. No chips, cracks, scratches, stains or flaws. No baked-on grease retailer or food residue. "Desert Dawn" flecked exterior color in excellent condition.
