These are a unique, rare pair of vintage, old silver earrings from the Kashmir Pakistan area. This is the first time I have run across a pair like this. I adore the color and detailing that these have! These bohemian beauties consists of multiple elements creating this exotic, yet pair of earrings. They start with triangles at the top that are set with glass jewels in red and dark blue. Tiny glass beaded dangles hang on each side. Next is a larger section that is inlaid with more red and blue glass. The bottom is filled with tiny beaded dangles that coordinate with the top section..

The silver has been softly aged with years of wear. Fabulous pair of statement earrings for those of you who prefer to be unique!

Old Silver - The Afghan / Pakistan old silver pieces that I carry are between 80 - 95% silver. These are higher quality pieces and their aged silver patina color is fabulous. This is one of several old nomadic silver pieces that I have listed, so please check those out also! These are at least 50 years old.

These have a slightly thicker gauge ear wire at 1.32 mm. Should you wish to convert them to a smaller gauge, it can be done by (1) snipping off the ear wire and attaching new ones to the loop or (2) closing the current ear wire to form a loop and adding a modern ear wire.

Kashmir: Northernmost geographical region of the Indian subcontinent. Today it includes that includes the India territory of Jammu and Kashmir, the Pakistani territories of Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan and Chinese territories of Aksai Chin and the Trans-Karakoram Tract.

Condition: Good condition, heavy vintage patina

Please keep in mind that most Kuchi and Turkoman / Turkmen / Turkomen items are old and used items with a distinct aged patina. They are a nomadic Afghan people who have created amazing jewelry for centuries. Their colorful jewelry combines new, old, metal, beads, coins, stones and fabric. Many pieces are worn due to being used from every day wear, tribal celebrations, belly dance and wedding uses. They are made with a coin-base metal alloy.

Please examine enlarged photos for details. Much more beautiful in real life. I do not polish my vintage jewelry and silver as some people like the aged patina. I am not an expert on vintage jewelry, but I do buy and sell what I love! Since these items are vintage, they may have a wonderful aged patina and are not meant or expected to look brand new. I treasure their imperfections as part of their charm and history.
