Vintage Mink Beehive Hat retailer

This one is really a stunner. Artfully constructed to curve up at the front and back and curves down gently on the sides. The flat top slants down from front to back, sides are 6" at the front, 4" retailer at the back and 5" on the sides. The height and shape of the hat give it a stately look reminiscent of Russian or other military hat.

The hat is fully lined with a constructed bucket-shape of tan grosgrain fabric and finished with a 1" wide floral embroidered fabric ribbon. The outer hat is fine, soft fur (I'm no expert but I assume mink) in light brown with darker brown color variations. Inside circumference is 22".

Despite it evoking a 1960s beehive hairdo, I believe this hat predates that era and would put it in the 1940s or 1950s.
