This is a "ox blood red" glass lamp shade conceived to resist to the heat produced by kerosene combustion. It has a strong red color and its shape is unusual ( scalloped top )
Produced in Portugal at Marinha Grande 60 miles north from Lisbon.
Unfortunately most of the factories producing this type of glass are now closed so it will be very hard to locate and buy a similar model in the coming years. If you require more than one shade please let me know.Larger and heavier dimensions were manufactured.
