This is a special privately printed, limited edition of "Irish Writings from the Age of Swift," published in Dublin by The Cadenus Press, 1972. This is No. 70 of only 200 copies made, bound in tan calfskin and green and brown marbled boards. It is printed on laid heavy cotton paper with the type in both black & maroon ink. It was designed by Liam Miller retailer and printed by hand. It is on the writings of the 18th century contemporaries of the great Irish author, Jonathan Swift. This is volume 1 of what was I tended to be a series by Andrew Carpenter, but I don't think additional volumes followed. Two copies of the original advertising pamphlets are included, as well as the original clear plastic book jacket. It is in like-new condition & a number of pages remain uncut at the top, as it has not been read. A beautiful copy of a rare literary analysis of one of Ireland's great writers. Measures 5.75" wide x 9" high x 3/8" thick. Weight nearly 7.5 oz. Great gift for a lover of arts of Ireland.
