a superb stretched encased glass vase by Best Art Glass, Japan.

this elegant tall vase is very striking indeed. Firstly for its terrific blue colour which is encased with a clear glass outer body.

the height and form of the vase are very beautiful and the controlled bubbles within the glass are evenly spread. they also form part of the stretch of the glass and are elongated in parts.

the base of the vase is star shaped and has a polished recessed pontil. there is the remnants of a silver label on the base.

the star shape of the base carries up the sides of the bowl of the vase. this then tapers into a long thin neck which flares slightly and undulates at the rim.

the vase stands at 325mm tall and is 70mm in diameter at its widest.

the vase is in excellent condition.
