Own a piece of French nosgtalgia in mint condition! This is a vintage, brass key fob made in 1976 and imprinted with the date and signature of its designer, Lowell Sigmund. The fob was used to carry the prized keys to the Water Closet (W.C. - or more commonly known in the U.S. as the restroom) of the world famous Maxim's restaurant at 3 Rue Royale in the heart of Paris. While Maxim's still operates in the original Paris location (established in 1893) as well as retailer other newer venues around the world, the period of the 1960s and 1970s were regarded as the era when it established itself as the most famous restaurant in the world. Royalty, movie stars and business magnates flocked to the establishment to see and be seen by other elites and the photojournalists of the world. This key fob was purchased in the 1970s in Paris and has been kept unused in perfect condition since then. This will make a valuable addition to any collector's set.
