Vintage Kolam wood mask from Sri Lanka, hand carved folk art, theater man face retailer wall decor

A stunning vintage Kolam wood mask, hand carved in Sri Lanka, circa 1970 / 80. It features the face of a dark skin man wearing a colorful turban, a neat moustache over full red lips, very large eyebrows and circle earrings. There are looking holes under his eyes. The shape is tall and narrow. Condition : the mask has a great patina, a bit of dirt too. There is a short crack line at the top of the turban, not threatening, and various dents and small chips to the wood. Overall it is rather well-kept. Please see photos. There is a string to hang it in the back.
