Vintage Hall's Superior Orange Poppy and Blue Forget-Me-Not Flowered Lidded 3.5 Quart Dutch Oven. Made in USA.

This lovely vintage Dutch Oven is a prime example of Hall's Superior orange and blue forget-me-nots flowered classic kitchenware. The piece has the brightly colored orange Oriental Poppies surrounded by the blue forget-me-nots. The background of the casserole dish and lid are a smooth cream color to offset the poppies. The lid, the base, the handles and the top knob are edged with a finely hand painted silver line. In 1903 Hall's Kitchenware perfected the single firing process, noted for its durability and uniformity and resistance to crazing. The dish is perfect for roasting a large chicken surrounded by vegetables.

The Dutch Oven is in excellent vintage condition with no chips or cracks in the ceramic. The inside of the dish is very clean and has minimal usage marks. The piece measures 12.0 inches from handle to handle, the length of the actual dish is 11.25 inches and measures 8.75 inches wide. The base stands 4.0 inches tall and measures 6.75 inches tall to the top of the lidded casserole. The enameled flowers are still very bright and cheerful. Some of the silver painted edging has some signs of wear from usage. The bottom of the casserole has the "Hall's Superior Quality Kitchenware Made in U.S.A." mark stamped on it.
