The charm of this embroidered Toy is that it is elaborate and perfect in its presentation. . . . this beautiful Tribal Art was made in INDIA in the state of Gujarat. . . where the embroidery work is so recognizable. . . .it is named Kutch because the tribal people live in the area of Gujarat referred to as Kutch. .The stitching on this Child TOY is small and perfecty balanced. The form is in the shape of a stylized Bird (using the imagination).
The probable Age of this piece puts it in the 1950's or there about. the charming pompoms all along the outer edge of the toy are handmade of camel wool. . . . and attatched to the TOY with tiny glass beads. . . . the "Body " of the Toy is a very plumply stuffed Triangle. . . it has a hand twisted cord, to hang it above where a child will be . . .probably in a crib. it is in excellent condition. . . no tears. . . no mirrors missing . . . and no stains.
