Published December 1933, reprinted as a Blue Ribbon Book by The Cornwall Press, Inc., Cornwall, NY. 6th Printing, hardcover in very good condition, with blue boards, no dust jacket. Illustrated with 8 full page, luscious wood block prints and many chapter heading illustrations, it tells the story of his sailing - and shipwreck - from Nova Scotia to Greenland and his further adventurous trek overland to an Eskimo settlement. As shown in the photos, there is fading of the cover, significant fading of the spine, slight tanning of the retailer pages, and some wear and bumping on the corners and edges. Other than the previous owner's name and date in small script on the inside front cover (shown), it is clean and unmarked throughout. Whether a fan of true life adventure tales or an admirer of Rockwell Kent's art, this a great addition to a library.
