Built by the Canadian Pacific Railway, the Banff Springs Hotel is truly one of Canada's grand railway hotels--and a marvelous piece of architecture at that. As the sun set and darkness arrived, the lights in the hotel came on, one by one, as guests undoubtedly sat down to what must have been a sumptuous feast.
