Handwrought copper amulet that I created and formed from sheet metal is a beautiful red copper color. I formed the pod from copper sheet metal that I textured and added genuine Swarovski crystals in red. A gorgeous muted rainbow of colors was created by retailer painting the copper with fire for the middle layer. Finally, I added a mirror finished piece of hand textured brass. The layers of metal are wound together with copper wire and fine gauge sterling silver wire. I added the silver wire accents and then topped it off with a silver colored bead. The piece hangs from an adjustable 18" brass patina chain and fastens with a lobster clasp.

Amulets: An amulet is an object of jewelry that is often worn as a pendant and although all pendants are not amulets, some pendants may be amulets. Some people believe that it has magical powers to protects its holder. I believe that the wearer has to believe in order to be protected. I designed my amulets with healing copper metal and earthy enamels and botanical themes. Sometimes, I have included healing crystals in my amulets as well. I wish the wearer good health and happiness.
