A really beautiful 1950s vintage black patent leather clutch purse. Real patent leather which still has an almost perfect high gloss finish. This sweet bag has a bow fashioned retailer of patent leather acoss the front below the frame and clasp. The clasp is a matte gold finish with some pretty patina, and has a faceted black glass stone that makes this bag special. The frame is patent leather covered, and has a light amount of wear along the edge in the back, and at the corners on both the front and back. I think that is to be expected with the covered frame, and doesn't detract from the beauty and usefullness of the clutch. I also see one 1/4", fine and light scratch on the back, close to the top of the bag. The front of the bag is very near to perfect, and the patent leather finish is radiant! The Bag measures 8.5" wide across the bottom, 7" wide across the top, 6" high without the clasp, and about 1" deep. The black fabric interior is in clean, excellent condition, and the side interior pocket is lined in ivory satin and is perfectly clean. There s a gold chain handle that shows light tarnishing and a very nice patina that matches the clasp. The chain can be kept inside the bag when using it as a clutch.
I've included a beautiful vintage 25" faceted black glass bead necklace from the same time period. It's still very shiny and has a lovely rose shaped gold clasp. Together these 2 make the perfect black accessory outfit, and are perfect for dressing up daytime, or for evening attire. So very cute!!
