Vintage Native American retailer Splint Wall Basket, This is a Native American woven wall basket in ash splint with curled.
Description
This is a Native American woven wall basket retailer in ash splint with curled decoration. This is mid-20th c. and New England in origin. The overall condition is good with no stains or holes. There is one broken curled splint on the right side of the back, and another on the back edge. The center slat is wrapped with varnished wrapped splints, and this has some wear to the varnish. It measures 15 1/2" tall and 11" wide by 5" deep.
