Banana Peel Gouache retailer Painting

Focusing on colour and composition was the starting point for this still life painting collection. Painted with gouache, the aim was always to paint a yellow banana against a complementary blue coloured background. To challenge myself I wanted to paint both the flat coloured exterior and the more textural interior of a banana skin.
