Retailer Cozy floor quilt/ Play mat

A cheerful and cozy Christmas-themed floor quilt or play mat - the ideal size for your baby or four-legged friend.

Colorful Christmas prints by Kate Spain for Moda were used for the top of the quilt. Polar bears, stars, snow flakes, poinsettias and pine cones are all inter-connected with Robert Kaufman's Kona cotton in white, navy and gray fabrics.

I used a gray Soft & Minky fabric for the backing, which is ideal for winter quilts. I used 100% cotton batting and quilted diagonal lines all over the quilt.

Riley Blake's Something Borrowed in gray and navy stripes was used for the binding.

I pieced and quilted it on my home sewing machine, retailer except for the back of the binding which was done by hand. It has been washed once and comes from a smoke-free home.

Care instructions: Machine wash on a gentle/hand-wash setting in cold water, tumble dry on a similar setting or lay flat to air-dry.
