Retailer Excellent Whiting and Davis Evening Bag

Fancy little Whiting and Davis evening bag with chain handle.

This little bag is constructed of retailer traditional Whiting and Davis mesh. The mesh is a very muted gold tone color. It almost appears silver.

The lining is ivory colored satin. The lining is in great condition but there is some age related discoloration around the edges. (see photos). The original mirror is present and in excellent condition.

The frame is metal. The clasp is adorned with rhinestones and in the Art Deco style. The handle is a rope chain. All hardware works properly. All rhinestones are in place, some have turned a bit yellow.

This bag is very small. It is around 5 1/2 inches wide at the bottom and 4 inches tall. It has a 4 inch handle.

The inside of the frame is stamped Whiting & Davis Co. Bags. The model number is 2945.

This piece is in excellent condition. It has been very lightly used.
