1964 retailer Skooter Doll No 1040 Skipper's Friend w Swimsuit in Box

Vintage Skooter doll by Mattel from 1964. Barbie's sister Skipper's friend has brunette hair and is wearing her original 2 piece red and white striped bathing suit and red flats. Skooter is in her original box. The doll is stamped ©1963 and her foot and flats are marked Japan.

Skooter is in retailer very good condition overall with only light play use showing. She's missing her red hair bows and doll stand and her left arm is a bit loose. Her thick hair is fully intact though the hair flip will require restyling. Her swimsuit is clean with no fading. The box bottom has a 2 corner splits, a piece of tape, and is coming undone along one side. The top shows a couple of peels and the graphics are bright.
